Your plan is built around your skin’s unique blueprint, visit your skin type section to understand its needs and tendencies. Knowing your skin type is your foundation for everything else, helping you see why your skin behaves the way it does and how to work with it, not against it.
Your Skin Type
Your breakouts are following a really clear hormonal pattern, flaring in the week before your period, the luteal phase. During this time, progesterone rises, which can increase oil production and slightly slow down how quickly your skin sheds cells. At the same time, oestrogen (the hormone that helps keep your skin calm and hydrated) drops. That combination is what creates the perfect setup for deeper, under the skin sore breakouts that tend to linger. Coming off the pill last year is also a big piece of this. The pill essentially kept your androgens (oil-stimulating hormones) in check, and now your body is regulating things on its own again, those hormones can be a bit more active, hence the breakouts. Under the woods lamp, your skin showed dehydration, which is why makeup can cling or look patchy. This isn’t about lacking oil, it’s a barrier issue. Overall, your skin is actually fairly balanced, but it is missing omega-3 lipids, which are key for calming inflammation and strengthening the skin. Your guides go into this in more detail, but these are the main drivers I’m seeing for you.
