What you feed your body shows up on your skin! Dive into our nutritional advice to understand what your plate might be saying about your complexion. Glowing skin starts in the gut, and this section helps you explore nutrition in a way that goes deeper than the surface.
Nutrition & Gut Health
Your diet has a really solid foundation, which is great, but we need to fine tune it to better support your skin and hormones. There’s a gap in both hydration and essential fatty acids (EFAs), which are crucial for maintaining a healthy skin barrier and reducing inflammation. Lipids essentially act like the “mortar” between your skin cells, without enough of them, the barrier becomes weak and prone to irritation and breakouts. Adding in foods like sardines (rich in omega-3s EPA and DHA) or supplementing can help rebalance this. Increasing fibre diversity is also key, not just for digestion, but for your gut microbiome, which plays a direct role in regulating inflammation and even hormone metabolism. Alongside this, upping your protein intake will support skin repair, collagen production, and overall hormonal stability.
